Get DirectionZena Castle is located in the hamlet by the same name, in the district of Carpaneto Piacentino (PC), in the flat area between the via Emilia (ss.9) and the first hills of the Apennines that joins Emilia with Tuscany and Liguria.
The exact address is Strada prov.le di Zena, No. 80, 29013 Carpaneto Piacentino (PC).
Zena is about 20 kilometres from Piacenza and can be easily reached both from the south, from the A1 tollbooth of Fiorenzuola (about 15 kilometres) and from the north from the A1 tollbooth of Piacenza Sud (about 18 kilometres) .
Arriving by train the closest station is the one in Fiorenzuola, but the one with the best service is Piacenza station. They are both on the Milano-Bologna line.
Arriving by plane, the closest airport is the one in Parma, but Linate airport in Milan is no more than 60 kms away.
Arriving by car coming from the south:
- exit from the A1 motorway in Fiorenzuola, reach the Via Emilia in the direction of Piacenza ,
- one passes the towns Fontana Fredda and Rovereto di Cadeo,
- arriving in Cadeo, at the only traffic light, turn left for Carpaneto, on the provincial road No. 29;
- after about 4 kilometres you are at Zena.
If one is arriving from the north:
- exit from A1 in Piacenza sud, reach the Via Emilia (SS.9) in the direction of Piacenza
- pass the centre of Pontenure,
- arriving in Cadeo, at the only traffic light, turn right for Carpaneto, on the provincial road No. 29
- after about 4 kms you are in Zena.
In less than an hour by car, the following cities can be reached: Cremona, Parma, Lodi, Crema, Pavia, Reggio Emilia, Milano, Mantova, Brescia, Bergamo, Vigevano, Alessandria.
